Monrovia Library Summer Reading Program June 11 – August 4
The program is designed to encourage kids, teens, and adults to read over the summer. Support from the community helps children and teens retain and enhance their reading skills while fighting against the ‘summer slide’, the tendency for children to lose some of the achievement gains they made during the previous school year

Wed      4        4th of July Recorded Music – 3 pm | Concert begins - 7:00 p.m.| Fireworks Show begins - 9:00 p.m.The Fireworks Show is free of charge and is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. and will last approximately 20 minutes.  Spectators may reserve a park space no larger than 10 x 10 feet starting at 6:00 a.m. and must be supervised at all times. The City of Monrovia is offering a decorating contest at this year's Fireworks Show!  All are invited to participate by decorating their 10 x 10 foot space in Library Park, with a chance to win an award for: Most Creative, Most Patriotic, Judges Award.  For contest rules and information, interested participants may download, complete and return the entry form to the Monrovia Community Center, 119 West Palm Avenue.
