Monrovia Area Partnership Adult Leadership Adult - Thurs. 7 – 9 pm; Sept. 7 – Oct. 19, 2017 with 
Graduation on Tuesday, November 7, 2017

Monrovia Area Partnership Youth Leadership Academy – 1st and 3rd Wednesday 3 – 5 pm; 13 Sessions September 6, 2017 – April 18, 2018 – Grades 6th – 12th; Topics - Integrity & Conflict Resolution; A Look into Local Government; Volunteering in Your Community; Meeting Local Youth Organizations; Public Speaking; Resume Building & Interview Skills.  The Program will register 30 youth and applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis with priority being given to Monrovia residents and first time participants.  First Session at Monrovia Library Community Rm with remaining 12 sessions at various locations in Monrovia. Participants will be asked to be committed to attending and completing all 13 classes in order to graduate with their class.

will once again host its annual home tour; this year’s 35th Annual historic Homes Tour will be a tour of selected ones on North Encinitas Avenue within the City’s (to be) newest Historic

Tue 4 4th of July Concert & Fireworks Show -  7:00 pm
The City of Monrovia's 4th of July Concert & Fireworks Show is scheduled for Tuesday, July 4. Entertainment will begin at 3:00 p.m. with recorded music, followed by a live band playing from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.  The Fireworks Show is free of charge and is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. and will last approximately 20 minutes.  Spectators may reserve a park space no larger than 10 x 10 feet and must be supervised at all times.The City of Monrovia is offering a decorating contest at this year's Fireworks Show!  All are invited to participate by decorating their 10 x 10 foot space in Library Park, with a chance to win an award for: Most Creative, Most Patriotic, Judges Award.  For contest rules and information, interested participants may download, complete and return the attached entry form to the Monrovia Community Center, 119 West Palm Avenue. The City of Monrovia, Public Services Department, is pleased to announce the 2017 Summer Concert Series.  Bring the entire family to the Rotary Club Band Shell in Library Park (southeast corner of Primrose and Palm) for an evening of free musical entertainment from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  Bring your lawn chair or blanket, sit back, relax and enjoy the variety of music on Sunday evenings beginning on July 9, 2017.
