The Monrovia Area Partnership (MAP) hosts workshops & events to train and guide community members who are ready to be community leaders. The MAP Youth Leadership Program is designed specifically to help youth learn, develop and grow so they, in turn, can take active roles in the health of their community. 
Join us every 1st & 3rd Wednesday 3:00 to 5:00 pm this school year! September 2016 —April 2017 Grades 6th– 12th Topics: ·Integrity & Conflict Resolution ·A Look into Local Government ·Volunteering in Your Community ·Meeting Local Youth Organizations ·Public Speaking ·Resume Building & Interview Skills

 The MAP Leadership Academy provides a foundation of knowledge to jump-start and sustain residents’ service in the community. After the Academy, graduates become part of an ever-growing network of community leaders.

Please join us as we meet with Monrovia PD to discuss new innovative ways they are trying to build and keep trust within our community. In addition to that, the Police Department is starting a new initiative,  Project ACT (Achieving Community Trust), where they hope to open up a dialogue with community members and educating our youth to safely interact with law enforcement.

Join us, in what will be an important and informative conversation.
