MAP Youth Leadership Academy - Class 1

The Monrovia Area Partnership (MAP) is a program that builds a strong community by creating a network of strong individuals. Through education, training, networking and activism, Monrovia Area Partners work together to make Monrovia a fun, safe and vibrant place to live. MAP hosts workshops & events to train and guide community members who are who are ready to be community leaders. 

The MAP Youth Leadership Program is designed specifically to help youth learn, develop and grow so they, in turn can take active roles in the health of their community.

The Youth Leadership Academy will be held for 3 consecutive Saturdays in March
(March 1, 8 & 15) from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Monrovia Community Center, 119 W.
Palm Ave. Participants will be asked to be committed to attending and completing all 3
classes in order to graduate with their class.


The Marching Wildcats host the So Cal Percussion Alliance where the Monrovia Winter Drum Line will compete. 

The City of Monrovia is hosting a Household Hazardous and E-Waste Roundup on 
Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 9:00am- 3:00pm.

State of the City Address

The Mayor of Monrovia provides an annual State of the City Address to report to the entire community on the most relevant issues facing the City.  

The 2014 State of the City address will be held on February 10, 2014 at the Krikorian Theater in Old Town Monrovia.  The event begins at 7:00pm.
