Neighborhood Alert:
In response to the recent violence our city has been experiencing, Monrovia’s Neighborhood Strategy Team will be meeting this morning to discuss measures each of our departments can each take to address the recent violence that has been occurring, specifically on Sherman Avenue. Our first steps will be to walk door-to-door in the Sherman neighborhood this morning in an effort to

  • Provide information to residents regarding the recent events
  • Offer residents an opportunity to provide information that may benefit investigations
  • Make a positive presence known to the affected residents

For more information on the recent activity, visit the Monrovia Area Partnership page on the city website by clicking here.

Keep your neighborhood safe
There's no sure way to completely safeguard your neighborhood, but there are ways you can proactively diminish opportunity for crime and deter those with less than admirable intentions.
  • Keep your porch and/or alley lights on at night
  • Become Familiar with your neighbors
  • Report Graffiti immediately
    • Graffiti Hotline (626) 836-3654
  • Call in suspicious activity
    • Crime Stoppers (Anonymous tips via call or text) - (800) 222-TIPS
    • Monrovia Dispatch (626) 256-8000
  • Don't be silent!  If you hear or see something wrong, alert your neighborhood.
    • Monrovia Neighborhood Services (626) 932-5563

Take a minute to save these helpful numbers in your phone and be a voice for your neighborhood.
