2018 Reading Challenge!

Each person is challenged to read 10 hours (or 600 minutes) in the month of January for our Winter Reading Challenge. Over 100 Libraries are participating nationwide and the national program’s combined goal is 50,000 books or 1,000,000 minutes! If the national goal is reached, Mark Cuban will donate $25,000 to First Book (an organization that provides new books, learning materials and other educational resources for children in low-income households). What a great way to do some good and get your read on! Monrovia Public Library’s goal is to read a combined 120,000 minutes in January. We know you can do it Monrovia! Sign up online starting January 1st at cityofmonrovia.beanstack.org or call the library for more information at 626-256-8274.
